If the program needs glibc 2.3.2 then you must have glibc 2.3.2 installed (which will conflict with current glibc).Best option is to compile the program from source with respect to the current system glibc. The program I am trying to run is a mail queue manager agent from a 3rd party so I won't be able to recompile that. You may need to go at it in steps between versions. I tried to install glibc-2.17 again and it failed again. python-3.3.2-r2 emerged fine, I assume I should also re-emerge dev-lang/python:2.7 ?
rm /usr/lib/libpng120 It looks like this kernel also kill www-servers/apache if it use dev-lang/php with Ioncube or Zend Optimizer. I recommend avoid using that kernel and will rollback to previous version. Hi I installed a Linux O/S from a red hat distribution a couple of years ago.
